Faux-painting is a means of reducing costs while achieving the desired effect. We designed this mantel to create a massive look as a base for the Chiarazzis existing triptych above. (The home's original mantel was too small and not in keeping with the room's decor.) The decorative corbels are made of synthetic materials, reducing their cost, and the faux painting matches the triptych, above.
