Baldini Kitchen Island
| As "Phase One" of their kitchen rejuvenation project in Coraopolis, Moon Township, the Baldini's wanted to transform their existing plain island. The Baldinis provided a magazine photo of an island they liked which we used as a starting point for this design, creating a centerpiece for the kitchen which would soon be further upgraded in "Phase Two". As we did for the Beresik family (see the Beresik Kitchen Refacing), we salvaged the existing island and completely encased it with solid cherry, replacing the doors and drawer fronts. We built this structure as one piece in our shop and, on site, lifted it over the existing island to avoid any unsightly seams. The carved pilasters are by Enkeboll. For a similar island refacing project, see the Ferraro Kitchen Island. |
