Beresik Reface and Island
| The Beresiks' "generic" oak kitchen cabinets were well-built and serviceable, but, boring. The Beresiks wanted their kitchen in Sarver to be an exciting place to come home to, a place with its own special feel and character, in keeping with their taste for the Early American style. MapleTree's scheme was to salvage all of the existing cabinetry except for the island, refacing it in 3/4 inch thick solid cherry with all new doors and drawer fronts. The results are dramatic, and the Beresiks' guests find it hard to believe that the cabinets were not replaced in their entirety. Working closely with the Beresiks, we designed every detail to their liking, including the custom-designed moldings on the doors and drawers. We designed and built the island from scratch, incorporating illuminated display areas on two sides and unique textured glass For a similar cherry refacing project, see the Rath Home Office. |
